First Things First

So going from not doing a whole lot to accomplish your entrepreneurial goals to doing mucho is quite difficult, I understand that.  I’m literally going from I haven’t effectively built my business over the last 6 months to I’m hitting the ground running with massive action.

I’ve spoken about mindset already, but I really must bring up our Will to fulfill our goals.  You can dream all you want, but if you don’t have the will to accomplish your dreams you’d be better off to stop dreaming.  So, that’s where I am right now, facing the power of the will!

Listen folks, we have it in us to do anything we set our mind out to do.  We can accomplish whatever it is we set our hearts to, and it takes the “I can and I will” attitude to get it done.  Talk is cheap in this world, so if we want to get things done in life, we have to stop talking about it and go ahead and do it.  I know I’m preaching right now, but I’m preaching to myself as I’ve been a talker in the past without the walking to back it up.  This year that changes!

I’ve decided that excuses will no longer hold me back from my dreams; I have no time, too tired, don’t want to, I can’t, it’s too hard, takes too much time, etc.  These excuses are going out the window.  When you go from procrastinator to action taker there are sacrifices to make like giving up TV shows, sports, internet time wasters, checking email 50 times a day, etc.  And one must decide, as I have, whether it’s worth forfeiting petty interests to take action and create the life one wants and dreams about.

To me, this journey to success, as I am already a successful entrepreneur, is a must, and if silly time wasters must go, so be it!  Will you allow the power of your will take over in your life and pursue your dreams?  Or, will you continue to do the same things over and over again just hoping that some big break is going to come along for you?  Please choose the former, it’s a much better life to live!

Thanks for the pep-talk. I am 72 and will be starting a Master Gardener Course through the University of Connecticut in a couple weeks. It is something I’ve thought about for sometime but never got around to it until now. Wish me luck.

    Ron,

You’re welcome! That’s great that you’re getting to fulfill a dream of yours. Even at 72, we can do pretty much whatever we put our mind to. God bless!
