Freedom, family and faith have always been so important to me.
I’ll begin by saying that I’ve always appreciated the Founders of our country consistently making the case that we were “endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights” or inherent rights. What this means is that, from the beginning of time, when God created us as man and woman, he gave us certain rights that were inherent in us all, that we all can enjoy. No one can take those rights away, and no human law has been made to give us these inherent rights, only to ensure them. When this country was founded, the ideals of free speech, freedom of religion, right to protect property and life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness were the main tenants for the establishment of this country.
In the same way the founders helped create this great nation by offering liberty and the freedom from tyrannical government that these ideals afford, it’s my desire to run for office to fight for these same ideals. No man or woman, or any earthly thing has given us these rights, they are from God. And, thusly, cannot be taken from us. But, in order to protect our freedoms from men and women who desire to control our lives through over reaching government, bureaucracies, mandates, executive orders, etc., we must fight for them. We must fight constantly against enemies of freedom both foreign and domestic.
Also, God created a man and a woman to be in relationship, to start families, to build happiness through the healthy relationship of marriage. It’s through the institution of marriage and families that this great nation built part of her foundation. And, it’s an institution I will fight for. Kids need both the father and mother in their lives, it’s so crucial. I will fight to encourage parents across Missouri to consider family as a priority for the success of our state and nation.
And, faith. We must return to our Founder’s Faith in God and country. We must have Faith in our fellow man (And we must earn it!). We must have Faith in our capitalistic free market which pulls more people out of poverty than any government program ever can or will.
We must stick together, and the three ideals that are most important to me are Freedom, Family and Faith. Join with me and let’s make Missouri even greater.
