Sunday’s Are For Evaluation – Week 1

Here we are, at the beginning of a new week and I will begin to spend Sunday’s on the blog evaluating the previous weeks’ work so you can see how I’ve changed from doing very little to build my business to the life changing actions I’ve taken up since January 1st to change my life.

What I’ve done this week:

  • First, I’ve found the method I will be using to create my success for this year, network marketing.  I’ve decided that this is the best way for me to achieve business success and a great way to build a good team using the skills I’m learning from the books I’ve been reading and the advice I’m getting from my mentors.  I continue to realize it’s potential the more and more I get into it, and it’s easy work, it’s just the choice to do the work little by little, or quit and never see any gains from the decision.  And, since this is a year of life changing work and decision, quit isn’t in the vocabulary … We’re going to MAKE this work!
  • Second, my week was filled with planning action steps, goals, dreams, scheduling, reading and learning.  I’ve read probably 7 full books since Christmas and that’s been filling my mind with positive ideas and recommendations for success.  One of my objectives for this year is to read at least 10 pages of a positive, productive and influential book everyday which I am fulfilling so far swimmingly!  Also, one of my goals, as stated over a week ago, is to blog everyday, which I’ve also fulfilled with a good bit of success, I’d say.  I’m already building traffic for the site and that in only 10 days of consistent blog posting.
  • Third, I’m beginning to build it into my schedule to meet with new people on a regular basis to speak with them about the team I’m building for my network marketing business.  Since I believe in the product and it speaks for itself, I must only show the person the system and most of them are immediately interested in hearing more about it.  The fortune (as I’m told by a friend and mentor) is in the follow-up, which is where I will begin to focus some this week after a few very good meetings and a number of interested prospects.
  • Also this past week, I had the pleasure to speak with my good friend, Rob Coats, who had a thriving network marketing business a couple years ago and was a top earner in his company and is also an author who recently released his new book, “Connect and Grow Rich.” We spoke for a long time about how to succeed in network marketing.  He made it very clear that it isn’t hard to be successful in network marketing as most people merely choose not to be, you just have to do what others refuse to do and you will be well on your way to network marketing stardom.  The things people refuse to do is contact prospects, follow-up, invite people to events, speak honestly about a product and it’s benefits, etc.  It was a great conversation and I am very thankful for his friendship.
  • Another objective of mine is to journal every day and to write down and reflect on the goings on of the day…so far so good and I’ve very much enjoyed writing down my thoughts and being honest with myself.
  • Finally, I added a weekly newsletter to my blog that will send out a weekly email updating you on what’s been going on at TravisFitzwater.com over the previous week.  If you’d like a summary of my postings and links to the past weeks contents here on the site, just click HERE and you can sign up for our email updates.  We don’t sell your email address, so don’t worry!

Well, I feel it’s been a very productive week.  Though I don’t have very tangible (monetary) results as of yet, I know it’s coming as I’ve had such great response so far for the product and the blog!  Tune in every Sunday for my rundown on the weeks’ goings on.

I will leave you with this quote from the book, “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson concerning The Secret of Time:

“Do you want change?  If so, I can show you how to tap into the most powerful force for change there is.  Would you like to know what it is?  Are you ready?  Here it is:

TIME.

Position your daily actions so time is working for instead of against you. Because time will either promote you or expose you.”  (emphasis added)

God bless,

Travis
