This more of a question for all of you because I’m very interested in your answers. And I’m seriously asking this, Why Believe? Why do we believe in anything, what’s the point? In your opinion, why is it important or not important to believe? Why believe in ourselves, a god, in others, in purposes and visions, and many other things we place belief in?
I’ve got some thoughts of my own, but I’m going to hold them back. I had a great conversation with some guys today about belief. I could tell many of them believed what I was saying about belief, that we can achieve whatever we set our minds to, but we have to believe it first. BUT, some of them tuned me out. So, I ask you, “Why Believe?” Let’s hear it.

Good question. I think we have all had that existential crisis where belief in anything deserted us. And then comeback to belief, or faith, because without it, at least for me who has experienced the hope it engenders, life is bleak.
First off, I believe you can as an individual and as a group do anything that you want to. That is the American way, that is also God’s way. We have individual rights granted to us by Him, this country was hand planted by Jesus Christ. That fact seems to be lost these days. Since history- the real history of our great nation has been lost, and history of certain dictators has also been lost. Or more certainly been changed by progressives. But that is for another time. If you don’t believe in anything, quite frankly you are a lost soul. Believing in Jesus Christ gives you hope that there is something more than just this life- that there is something beyond death- eternal life. That sounds good to me. Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins,and live a righteous life. Easier said than done. But necessary to get there.
